How To: Time Management
The best way to manage your time is to first find out how much time that you have. There are statistics out there that will tell you per year right down to the moment of how much time you have to live and to be awake for your entire life. But first we will just take one day in the middle of the week.
Here is what you need to consider:
How many hours you are actually at work? (9)
Drive to and from work? (30 minutes)
How long does it take for you to get ready for work in the morning? (1)
How much time does it generally take you to cook your meal, eat it and do the dishes? (1)
How long does it take for you to help your children with their projects, take them to an activity, etc. (1)
How long does it take for you to get ready for bed in the evening? (30 minutes)
How many hours do you need of sleep? (8)
Just totaling the above is 21 hours which does not include any down time, watching television, making a call to your Sister that hasn’t heard from you in a month or be involved in your child’s school activities.
When you realize that you only have 3 hours per day you start to think that time and how you spend it is pretty precious. As you look at the example I gave you the smart thing is to find out what you can do to compress that time with systems to do the same thing in less time. But sadly most people start cutting out important things like their sleep to get everything done. And we all know that lack of sleep will affect your health and stress level. If you want to have a balanced life start thinking of what you can do to be smart with your time like batching activities together. You might be able to create some personal time for yourself like take a bubble bath and just relax.

I love the simplicity of this post yet there are lot of good stuffs to learn from. I will surely look back here because I really need the wisest time management.. gaah!
Keep the smiles,
Lynne
